.......(self explanitory)

why I haven't been posting

I know I haven't posted in awhile but to be honest, School is kicking my ass right now. Also last week was prom which started as a total disaster and ended with me and Dan watching Saving Private Ryan and sharing the last pack of zebra cakes in the house. So obviously the night wasn't a complete wreck. So just I'll get back to posting again and continue the series of interesting people as soon as i'm done with my next post, which I think you'll all like.

My Mommy (you can guess the relationship)

(My beautiful momma is on the left, I'm on the right)

Mom is the best, hands down. She is a great role model for me and an amazing mother to all 4 of her kids. She recently received her Masters in Educational Technology from BSU. She has plans to go to Arizona to work on her PHD after I graduate. Her accomplishments thus far along with her goals for the future give me a strong basis on which to look toward my own future.

Mom has many passions: music (she's an excellent trumpet player), photography, nature, traveling, computers, and people. I love how she can combine these passions, especially nature and photography. She takes these wonderful shots of flowers and budding trees and cacti ("Texture shot!") She has justy an extraordinary eye for the natural beauty of this world. (Mom and Alex looking for Petoskies in Michigan) ------>

Mom has a great sense of humor as well and we've had many fun times together, especially on the awesome vacations she's planned(i.e. Toronto, Denver/Colorado Springs, North Carolina). For instance:
  • being the only non-Amish people in the Amtrak dining car on our way to Buffalo,NY

  • ordering pizza and eating it around the campfire in Toronto

  • wandering endlessly around downtown(Denver &Toronto)

  • Climbing the Dunes in Michigan(Mom and Alex know what I mean)
  • Tubing/rafting in North Carolina

She also has had many great quotes during our events together, from traveling to concerts to so much more. Like:

  • "I swear to God, I will get you kicked out of this campground"

  • "Good music, Purple sweater"

  • Mom:"4 more hours?!" MOT: "MOOOOO(indicating we're over the speed limit)" Mom:"That's not helping!"

Mom has always been there for me, which isn't the easiest of tasks. I'm not very open, so she has to pry out what's troubling me, which helps cuz I've learned to open up a little more. She always has the perspective I need to see in order to better handle things that scurry around in my mind. She understands how sometimes its easier to cry then explain and how a chocolate bar can cure all woes when necessary. She takes care of me and that's all I want, someone that I can depend on to be there, if I should need them.

Daniel (My amazingly sweet, smart and all around awesome BF)

(Me and the most handsome guy ever)

Daniel is....amazing. Yes, I'm biased because I'm going out with him and just happen to love him but I must say just about everyone loves him. He is a complete history buff, specializing in WW1 and Presidents( Teddy Roosevelt is his fav.). He has his"unique" sense of humor sometimes leaves me laughing and other times frustrated( but in a good way). He has the sweetest smile and beautiful eyes.

He loves playing video games( Halo and GTA are at the top), and is a HUGE Beatles fan. Paul is his favorite and he prefers the earlier hits. Dan plays bass, guitar, harmonica, and trombone. He writes stories and songs. He paints army men to look accurate to they're time period and (in my opinion) they are amazing. He bikes and plays bridge and sings, etc. He tends to be a Jack-of-all-trades.

And last but (most certainly) not least, he's a great bf. He's sweet and caring. He makes me let go of control and be taken care of which is soo nice, yet so hard for me to do. In fact he's one of 2 people who can actually make it happen. He listens to me when I need him, and always knows what to say(or what not to say). He sends tons of sweet texts, and knows all the little things I love (like orange tictacs and peanut butter cups). Recently when I was sick, he even came and serenaded me by singing and playing(on guitar) my favorite song. <3>He makes me feel like a million bucks or ever more. I love him and well, that's all she wrote ;)

For Chad.......

Emilay ( My non-biological, but totally awesome little sis)

(I'm the chica on the left, Em is the beauteous creature on the right)

Em is my BF, Daniel's, sister. She can be a handfull at times, but is one of the most vibrant colorful people you will ever meet. She loves the "scene" look and is into Alt. rock and self photography, which she's pretty good at----->

Though sometimes she can get a little obsessive with some stuff (i.e. styling/coloring/cutting her hair), she is a girl of many different facets. She loves running, hanging with friends, shopping, her self styling/photography, and music(listening to, not making). Em is an amazingly confident girl most of the time, with "love me or leave me," attitude that I sometimes wish I could emulate.

I like sharing a room with Em when I stay with her family. If we go to bed at the same time, we'll chat for a bit til the convo. dies down and we both know that either: #1. one of us has fallen asleep, or #2. neither of us has anything good left to say. We wake up at the same time for church the next morning and eat breakfast together, and get ready at the same time. Having her around has helped me get over some issues I've been having regarding my younger brother( but that's for a different time, and different post). To sum it all up, Em's like a rainbow: Pretty, vibrant, full of wonder maybe even hope, but at this point you have no clue where it's going, and that's OK, after all you're only seeing it's beginning.

oh, btw: Em has a blog of her own, so check out, "It's Emily, Chiclet (:" and feed the fishies

The New Series.....

SO....I've decided to create a running series on the important people in my life. You're probably thinking, "I don't want to hear about these people, I just like the random nonsense posts she puts up." Well lucky for you, these people are interesting plus random posts will probably go up inbetween the posts in this series. SO....keep watching. =)
